when Jesus talked about His dying,   A crucified Messiah?  A Messiah who becomes a sin offering?  Impossible.

He had power over disease, He had power over demons, He had power over death.

because without the shedding of His blood there would be no forgiveness of sin.

WHO IS HE

Herod is being told that Jesus is John the Baptist risen from the dead.

Herod is filled with fear and curiosity. He “kept trying to see Jesus”.

God is knocking at his door. This is his moment of grace.

 Jesus' willingness to spend time with tax collectors and other disreputable people.

  Jesus tells the Pharisees that He did not come to call the righteous. He came to call sinners.

 He is seeking the lost. He is healing the sick. He is saving sinners.
