Deuteronomy 7:6-11
You are a people
Consecrated to the Lord, your God. The Lord has chosen you from among all the peoples
on the face of the earth, that you may be his own people. The Lord has bound himself to you
and has chosen you, not because you are the most numerous among all the peoples (on the contrary, you are the least).
Rather, he has chosen you because of his love for you and to fulfill the oath he made to your fathers.
Therefore, with a firm hand the Lord brought you out from slavery in Egypt, from the power of Pharaoh.
So know that the Lord, your God, is the true and faithful God. He keeps his covenant,
and his love reaches to the thousandth generation for those who love him and fulfill his commandments,
but he punishes in their own persons those who hate him and he repays them without delay.
So keep the commandments, the norms and the laws that today I command you to practice.
Ps 103:1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8,10
The Lord's kindness is everlasting to those who fear him.

1 John 4:7-16
Beloved, let us love one another because love comes from God.
Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Those who do not love have not known God, for God is love.
How has the love of God appeared among us?
God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us first
and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Beloved, if God’s love has been shown to us, we also ought to love one another.
No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another,
God lives in us, and his love is made complete in us.
How can we know that we live in God and he in us? Because he has given us his Spirit.
Moreover, we have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as savior of the world.
Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
We have come to know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love.
Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
*** Gospel ***
Matthew 11:25-30
On that occasion, Jesus said, "Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I praise you;
because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to simple people.
Yes, Father, this was your gracious will.
Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father;
and no one knows the Father except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
Come to me, all you who are weary ary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart;
and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy; and my burden is light."
Gospel Reflection :
A heart that understands our struggles.
Read: Today's readings reveal the depth of God's love for His people.
In Deuteronomy, God chooses Israel out of love, not for their merit, demonstrating His faithful covenant.
1 John calls us to love one another because God first loved us, and we abide in Him through this love.
In the Gospel, Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him, a gentle and humble Savior.
These passages remind us that God's love is steadfast, inviting, and a call for us to love others in return.
Reflect: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest."
These words of Jesus reveal his tender and compassionate love,
a love that seeks out the weary, the wounded, and the lost.
The heart of our Lord Jesus is not just a symbol. It is, in fact,
the reality of His deep and sacrificial love, concretely expressed in His mission,
where He taught, healed, and forgave those He encountered.
The Lord continues to offer us rest and renewal, embracing us with a heart
that understands our struggles and reveals the Father's gracious will to us.
Let us draw near to His Sacred Heart, trusting His unending mercy and love.
Pray: Lord, help me remember that you are always there for me,
especially in moments of stress and difficulties.
Act: Show acts of kindness and love to others today.
